What participants are saying

“The flexible tailoring of the exercises to match where each member of the group is at, is the most challenging way to teach- really grateful for this approach and for your really sensitive feedback style. Thank you.” — Janet Harris, Greece workshop

“I am a professional figurative landscape painter, I was looking for something to help me take my work in a more contemporary direction. I could not have chosen better. Janice is an exceptional teacher, brilliant at teaching composition and gave excellent advice and criticism.” — Victoria Orr Ewing, Scotland workshop

“The trip was wonderful in many ways, but the best for me was the workshop. Having painted and taught adults for 35 years, I thought I had done it all. How delighted I was when you directed all of us to work on tables, use the scraper and grind our own pigments. It was a breath of fresh air for me. Thank you for your caring ways.” — Joyce McCarten, Morocco workshop

“The exercise with sound was great as was the Genius Loci exercise, which carried over into the art trips. I realized I understood the concept and usually did connect, but never had words for it or a mental construct that I could ‘think of’ and then ‘go to’. I will especially carry this with me.” — Pat Lillis, Greece workshop

“Janice I’m thankful for the structure you created and the container you held which allowed for exploration of ideas and genuine play. Thank you for this amazing experience.” — Tracie Stewart, Orkney workshop
